Rama Devi is an Indian politician from Bihar, India. She is a renowned and respected member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. She was born in the year 1948 at Lalganj in Vaishali district. Rama Devi has been a member of the 12th Lok Sabha between 1998 to 1999 from Motihari RJD ticket. Political Career
Rama Devi got her election ticket in the year 2009 for BJP from the Sheohar constituency.
She was even elected to send tern to Lok Sabha in the year 2014 and then elected for the third time in 2019.
However, in 2019, she got into a controversy when Samajwadi Party’s MP Azam Khan made sexist remarks on her, for which he had to apologize.

In 2009, after joining Bharatiya Janata Party, she again stood from BJP for Lok Sabha elections and won with an excellent number of votes and again defeated Md. Anwarul Haque of BSP.
In 2000-2005, Rama Devi contested at Motihari in the Bihar assembly elections as RJD MLA and defeated Pramod Kumar of BJP.
In 2000-2005, Rama Devi became a Cabinet Minister in the Public Health & Engineering Department Government of Bihar.
In 1998, She was elected against Radha Mohan Singh of Bhartiya Janta Party to the 12th Lok Sabha from Motihari constituency as RJD MP. Rama Devi defeated him with an impressive number of votes.

- After that, in 2002, Rama Devi became a Vice President, Akhil Bhartiya Vaishya Mahasam melan. She is currently holding the position of Executive President, Bihar Vya vasa yik Sangharsh Morcha since 2008.
